Meet Jacob Duker, M.D.
Jacob Duker, MD is a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at the Warren Alpert Medical School, Brown University in Providence R.I. where he also has a private practice specializing in surgical and medical disorders of the retina and vitreous. He graduated cum laude from Amherst College before he received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He did his internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance followed by ophthalmology residency at University of Miami/Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the number one ranked residency program and eye hospital in the country. After residency, he completed sub-specialty fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Tufts New England Eye Center/Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston where he was a sub-investigator on numerous clinical trials. He has published many peer-reviewed manuscripts and textbook chapters and presented research at international conferences.

Throughout his career, Dr. Duker has received several awards and honors. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons and playing soccer when he can.
